Location

The meeting will be held in the Doelen Congress Center in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

Timing

The meeting will start on Friday 30 march 2012 at 08.00 hrs and end on Saturday 31 march 2012.

Target group

Physicians (anesthesiology, internal medicine, intensive care medicine, surgery) and other care providers engaged in the perioperative care for the awake patient.

Accreditation

The 5th International Erasmus Master Class is accreditated by the Netherlands Society of Anesthesiology, 10 points

Parking

The Doelen has its own underground parking (Parking Schouwburgplein). Close by, there are other parking facilities with about 1000 additional parking spaces; e.g. Parking Plaza (underneath the shopping center Plaza, entrance Kruisstraat) and Parking Weena (opposite The Doelen) entrance Karel Doormanstraat. All these charge similar prices per hour/day.

Festive Dinner
On the 30th of March there will a festive conference dinner, held at Sociëteit de Maas.

The Royal Maas Yacht Club (Dutch: Koninklijke Roei- en Zeilvereniging De Maas) is a Dutch yacht club located in the centre of Rotterdam.

Members are able to engage in sailing and rowing and the yacht club's name, de Maas, stems from the name of the river Nieuwe Maas flowing through Rotterdam.
The yacht club, founded in 1851, belongs to the oldest yacht clubs in the Netherlands. It has around 2500 members. The predicate 'Royal' was bestowed in 1901; in 1931 women were allowed to become a member. 'Maas' members have, by royal decree, the privilege to fly an embellished Netherlands ensign, showing a St George cross and golden King's crown (see picture).
The clubhouse designed by the architects Barend Hooijkaas jr. en Michiel Brinkman, was opened in April 1909. This elegant Jugendstil creation, which just survived the bombardment of the centre of Rotterdam in May 1940, is an important example of modern architectural art in the Netherlands.
The club's patron is Queen Beatrix; her son the Prince of Orange and the mayor of Rotterdam are Maas members. The renowned Dutch sailor Connie van Rietschoten, who won the Whitbread race twice, is an honorary Maas member.

The official conference language is English, no simultaneous translation will be provided.

Letter of invitation

The Organizing Committee will send you a letter of invitation after receipt of the full payment of the registration fee.

Liability and insurance

Neither the Organizing Committee of the Fifth International Master Class on Anesthesia an Perioperative Care for the Awake Patient nor the Congress Secretariat accept any liability for personal injury, loss or damage of property belonging, or additional expenses incurred to congress arrangements with respect to health and travel insurance.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made in writing to Interactie Opleidingen no later than February 1st 2012. An administration fee of € 50.00 will be charged as handling costs. In case of cancellation after February 1st 2012 no refund will be made.

Rotterdam

Rotterdam is the second largest port in the world, the second city and the industrial heart of the Netherlands and the economic, social and cultural center of the Rijnmond (Rhine Estuary) region.

Transportation

By air
From Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam there is a direct train connection to Rotterdam Central Station (every half hour). The traveling time is approximately 50 minutes.

Travel and visa

Entry into the country is granted to all foreigners taking part in congresses organized in the Netherlands, regardless of their nationality.

Dresscode: Tenue de Ville

In some cases, dresscode for businesses is defined as Tenue de Ville, and generally means business clothing. This tends to refer to suits for men, or at the very least, slacks, coordinating jackets, a formal shirt and shoes.
